Subject: The Joy of Data - Wednesday 20th July 9pm BBC Four
Dear Frank,
I’m delighted to write to tell you that The Joy of Data, for which you so kindly gave us a wonderful interview at the Leo reunion, will be broadcast next Wednesday evening (20th July) at 9pm on BBC Four. I’m really sorry for the short notice. We only finished making the film yesterday and were rather taken aback to discover that it was due for imminent transmission!
If you want a sneak preview you can see a clip and other information here on the BBC website: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b07lk6tj . More clips and links will follow very soon as they add to this page. There’s another clip here on the Wingspan website: http://www.wingspanproductions.co.uk/what-we-do/read/38/The-Joy-of-Data
We’d be extremely grateful if you passed this news on to interested parties within your network. So please forward, tweet, post etc. and help spread the word.
Inevitably, as with all programme-making, each section of the film only lasts a few minutes. The Leo story is brief and we chose to feature quite a number of Leo team members, which means each individual contribution is short. Thank you nevertheless so much for your contribution which has played an important part in what I hope you will agree is an accessible and jam-packed film. Cat – who is away on holiday this week – asked me to pass on her own personal thanks to add to ours.
Do let us know what you think of the film. We always appreciate constructive criticism so feel free to give us feedback on what you didn’t like as well as what you did!
Best wishes
Archie
